The journey to Polyamory Match began six years ago with a single, simple realization. After leaving my second marriage, I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended a meet-up organized by the local polyamory private Facebook group I had recently joined. That meeting was eye-opening.
I learned quickly about the biases that existed, the complexities of different relationship styles, and the profound lack of infrastructure available for polyamorous people to connect. This experience led me to a few pressing questions, which I soon saw echoed across polyamory groups everywhere.

I realized this had to change. Every segment of society has dedicated dating spaces, and the polyamory community deserved a professional, feature-rich home.
Our vision required advanced technology and sophisticated algorithms to accommodate diverse relationship structures—a challenge that was quickly apparent as both unique and expensive.
The quest to build a true polyamory platform began. The company was formally created in April of 2021, and the search for the right developers and funding was on. After an exhaustive search, we partnered with a professional development company that not only had experience creating top-quality dating apps but also eagerly accepted the unique technical demands of a polyamorous website and app.
